Prospecting Software-A Review and Summary of Leadsonrails.com

Let me start by saying that I'm a big fan of this solution.  For a lot of reasons.  Sales is all about systems and following a system that you determine to be the correct way to acquire a customer.  LeadsonRail centers around a feature called "TRACKS" which are basically procedures you use when you are acquiring a client or servicing a customer.  Let me give you a few examples of how this can be used.

The problem with the majority of CRM Software solutions is that they are difficult to use.  Throw in a million different options and features, and chances are the salespeople will use none of them and it will probably just confuse most people.  Leads on Rails is simple to use.  But first we need to explain the "Tracks" system that I talked about in the previous paragraphs.  A Track is the 'rail' that you put prospects and customers on.  So for instance, if you determine that your highest level prospects should be touched 12 times a year, then you would create a Track called "A-Level Prospects".  In that track, you define the steps that should be taken.  It might be 6 phone calls, 4 letters, and 2 drop-ins.  Then you set the time at which these should be made, say 30 days apart.  Now, you assign each of those top prospects into the "A Level Prospects" track and the system does the rest.  When you login each day you can see which prospects are due that day.  After you're done with your phone call, letter or stop-in, you simply hit 'complete this step' and it marks it complete and you're done.

This works for salespeople because its simple. You know what you have to do everyday and you get it done.  You might create different levels for each level of prospect, so the guy who you are calling on that says to followup annually, you can create a track that queues annual followups and put him on that.  Sales is about systems and this is the most systematic prospecting software I have seen yet.  It gets a 5/5 and especially for the price!
